Using the Show/Hide Features tab to set up software preferences

This tab allows you to show or hide some advanced features of Field Manager PRO.

Select Software Preferences from the Setup menu to open the Preferences dialogue box, and then click the Show/Hide Features tab. 

  • Show Equipment - Selecting the equipment tracking feature will allow you to record which pieces of equipment you used on your operation and harvest records, which allows you to report on the cost of running equipment.
  • Show Labour - Selecting the labour tracking feature will allow you to record which employees you used on your operation and harvest records, which allows you to report on the cost of labour.
  • Show Images - Selecting the image feature will allow you to record an image with each of your operation, observation and harvest records. For example, you could save a satellite photo or a supported image file from your GPS program. You can sketch on any image files to record any notable items.
  • Show File Links - Select this option to display file links when you enter operations, observations and sales.
  • Show Other Income/Expenses - Selecting the other income/expense feature will allow you to record income/expense items not related to crop production or crop sales, which allows you to report on these additional financial details. For example, you may want to record the income from insurance payouts or the expense of land taxes.  
  • Show Observations - Selecting the observation feature allows you to record observations related to pests, weather, soil tests and any other types of events that you may want to note.
  • Show Environment Details - Selecting the environmental details tracking feature will allow you to record environmental conditions such as wind speed, wind direction and humidity with your operation and harvest records.
  • Show Inventory Storage - Selecting the inventory storage feature will allow you to track thequantity of crop inventory you currently have in any given storage location. When you record a harvest, sale, transfer or inventory adjustment, you'll be asked to specify the storage locations affected by the adjustment.
  • Show Inventory Lot Numbers - Select this option to display lot numbers when you enterharvesting operations, sales and inventory transactions.
