Changes to activating your software

It’s now easier to active your software when you first purchase it and after you complete an upgrade.

For new purchases, you can now enter up to 100 transactions before the software requires you to activate it. You’ll receive a reminder when you open your file after 70 transactions, and you’ll be able to see how many transactions are left before activation is required.

For existing users, if you’re on a current service plan and are connected to the Internet, , AgExpert will attempt to activate the software for you automatically when you install an update. If it’s successful, you’ll be taken directly to your data file. If your serial number or email address doesn’t match what we have on file for you, then the activation screen will open and you’ll be required to update your information before clicking Activate.

We’ve also removed the payroll activation button. To turn payroll on or off, go to Setup > Preferences, then select Optional Features and check or uncheck the Payroll box.
