Setting the payroll deduction as a percentage of gross pay

You can set the payroll deduction as a percentage of an individual employee’s gross pay.

To do this:

1. Select Setup from the Payroll menu. The Payroll dialogue box appears.
2. Select Employees from the left column. Then select the employee and click Edit.
3. Select the Pay Types, Benefits and Deductions tab.
4. In the Type column under Deductions, select % for each deduction you want to apply as a per cent.
