Importing bank statements
Before importing your bank statement, you need to download the transaction file from your online banking account. Our AgExpert Accounting software accepts Quicken (.QFX) and Quickbooks (.QBO) files. Most banking institutions offer these two options. Files to import cannot exceed 100 KB.
The file can be found in your Downloads folder but can be moved to your desktop or any other area you prefer.
In AgExpert Accounting, select Banking, then Import transactions in the left navigation bar and click the orange Import button. Below is the page that will display when you import files for the first time.
In the column that opens to the right of the screen, select the bank account you would like to import transactions for and click on Browse to import the file previously saved in your file folders. Click Open to import the file into the program.
You can start reviewing transactions that have been imported one-by-one by clicking on the plus sign at the end of each transaction line.
Some information will auto-populate into the transaction entry page. Fill in missing information accordingly and click Save to record the transaction.
You can also choose Close and resume later if you have a lot of transactions to process.
Once all transactions on the statement have been recorded, you can mark the import as Done.
