Importing GIS Data from Equipment
Import spatial data into the GIS tab on Operation, Harvest, Soil Test Observation, Weather Observation, Pest Observation and Other Observation.
- Click on the Records menu.
- Select Operation, Harvest or Observation.
- Click on the GIS Tab.
- Click on the Import button .
- The wizard lets you import geospatial data in various formats including the John Deere GreenStar system, Shapefiles (.shp files) and GPX (waypoints). Click Next.
Shapefiles (.shp) (requires .shp + .shx + .dbf files present)
- Select the Shapefiles directory (.shp files).
- Click Next.
- Select the variable to import. Click Next.
- Select the list of feature(s) to import by clicking Toggle All.
- Click Next.
- Click Import.
JD Original GreenStar Display (PFDATA directory)
- Select the PFDATA directory.
- Click Next.
- Choose the operation(s) that you want to import for this field record.
- Click on the Search button to retrieve relevant data from the selected operation(s) within your selected field boundary.
- Click Next.
- Select the variable to import. Click Next.
- Select the list of feature(s) to import by clicking Toggle All.
- Click Next.
- Click Import.
JD GreenStar 1800/2600/2630 (RCD directory)
- Select the RCD directory
- Click Next
- Choose the operation(s) that you want to import for this field record.
- Click on the Search button to retrieve relevant data from the selected operation(s) within your selected field boundary.
- Click Next.
- Select the variable to import. Click Next.
- Select the list of feature(s) to import by clicking Toggle All.
- Click Next.
- Click Import.
GPX (Waypoints)
- Select GPX (Waypoints).
- Click Next.
- Click the button and select the GPX File. Click Open.
- Click Next.
- Select the variable to import. Click Next.
- Select the list of feature(s) to import by manually clicking the features or clicking Toggle All to select them all.
- Click Next.
- Click Import.
CASE IH AFS PRO 600/700 New Holland Intelliview II/III/IV
- Select CASE IH AFS PRO 600/700 New Holland Intelliview II/III/IV as the data source format select the type of operatoin (Harvest, Pest Control / Fertilizer, Forage Harvest) and click Next.
- Click the the button and select the (*.cn directory) dataset directory.
- Click Next.
- Choose the operation(s) that you want to import for this field record.
- Click Search to retrieve relevant data from the selected operation(s) in your selected field boundary.
- Click Next.
- Select the variable to import and click Next.
- Select the list of feature(s) to import by clicking Toggle All.
- Click Next.
- Click Import.
Precision Planting (Summarized Planting Logs)
- Select Precision Planting (Summarized Planting Logs)and click Next.
- Click the the button and select the dataset directory.
- Click Next.
- Choose the operation(s) that you want to import for this field record.
- Click Search to retrieve relevant data from the selected operation(s) in your selected field boundary.
- Click Next.
- Click Import.
