Error when installing Field Manager PRO

One of the following error messages may appear when you try to open Field Manager PRO Desktop when installing Field Manager PRO:

8205: The file that is required cannot be installed because the cabinet file: FM PRO Desktop\data\1.cab has an invalid digital signature.

Or

A file that is required cannot be installed because the cabinet file E:\Field Manager PRO Desktop\Data1.cab has an invalid signature. This may indicate that the cabinet file is corrupt. Error 24592 was returned by WinVerifyTrust.

This means you can’t install Field Manager PRO from that specific source (usually from a CD) because your Windows operating system has detected an invalid digital signature. 

Solution

  1. Uninstall Field Manager PRO via the control panel on your computer.
  2. Download and install the Field Manager PRO Desktop Demo.
  3. Re-activate the software.
