Connecting to Plaid

Plaid allows us to integrate with online banking to import your transactions directly from your financial institution.  It is a secure, one-way pull of transactions to assist with making your data entry more efficient.

To connect with Plaid, click Banking > Bank Accounts.

You will be given a list of accounts that have been setup as either a Bank account or a Credit Card account.  Each account must be connected separately if you want to import transactions.

To connect Plaid to an account, click Connect to bank.

Consent terms will open from the right.  Please make sure to read this information, as it gives you specific information about the terms of the connection.  Click Continue if you agree to these terms.

Plaid will open, and you will need to click Continue to move to the next step.

Select your financial institution from the list provided.  Please note that not all institutions are in this list, only the institutions that have a connection with Plaid.

Enter your online banking credentials and click Submit.

Plaid will validate your information and give a list of your current bank accounts.  Select the bank account that you are attempting to connect and click Continue.

Plaid will connect the bank account to AgExpert Accounting.  Click Continue to return.

The first time you connect to Plaid, you will be required to select your start date for transaction download.  Any transactions before this date will not be available for download.  Select the date you would like to begin transaction download and click Get transactions.

Any available transactions will download and become available for review.  Plaid will check your account periodically (at least once a day) for any new transactions to download.

IMPORTANT NOTE

At this time, the only types of two-factor authentication that are supported are via text or email.  If you require authentication through your banking app, then you will be unable to connect and download transactions at this time.
