Using the Plant tab to add information to an operation
To add plant information to an operation, ensure that the Plant check box is selected in the first section of the Operation dialogue box. Then:
- Click the binoculars to add new seed(s) to the operation.
- Click the X to remove a seed from the operation or press the delete key on your keyboard.
- Name – This displays the name of the seed(s) you’ve selected.
- Area - Enter the operation’s total land area. If you're adding a new operation and more than one land area was selected, you won't be able to change this value. The value of the Area will be a total of the combined land areas selected.
- Rate - Enter the rate of the seed applied. When you enter the Rate, the Total automatically calculates.
- Total - Enter the total quantity of seed sown. When you enter the Total, the Rate automatically calculates. This unit will default to the Application Unit for the seed from the Seed Inputs window.
- Cert # - Enter or choose the seed’s certification number.
- Lot # - Enter or choose the seed’s lot number.
- Treatment - Enter any seed treatment(s) applied to the seed. Choose the number of treatments that were applied and then enter the name and amount applied for each one. You can apply up to six seed treatments per seed. Seed treatments can be applied on a per area or per seed basis.
- Row Spacing - Enter the space between each seed row.
- Seed Depth - Enter the seed’s planting depth.
- Seed Bed - Enter or choose the seed bed information. If you want to modify an item in the list, click the pencil and make the change.
- Transplanted - Check this box to show where the plant was transplanted from. For example, you can show a planting operation that resulted from moving a tomato seedling from the greenhouse to a field plot.
- Plant Density Samples - Select this link to enter plant counts taken from up to 10 samples in the field.
- Notes - Enter any additional information for the operation.
