Looking for something specific in the page and not quite sure where to find it? You can always press CTRL + F on your keyboard and type a keyword. Or you can do a search (in the top right corner).
Viewing the Transaction Report
The Transaction Report is used to view transaction activity in your current data file. This produces an audit trail of all activity within a specific time period.
To view a Transaction report, select Report Console from the Reports menu.
Select Transaction/Account Information from the menu on the left, and select Transactions.
Select the “Date” check box to select a date range for the report. The date range limits the reported transaction activity. You can select the starting and ending dates from the drop-down menu.
Select the “Reference” check box to filter the report by reference number. To display a single transaction, enter its reference number.
You can also use * to match any number of characters or ? to match a single character. For example:
abc* - Displays all transactions with a reference number that starts with abc (such as abc1, abcdef, abc 515).
*abc - Displays all transactions with a reference number that ends with abc (such as 123abc, wxyabc, 515 abc).
abc? - Displays all transactions with a four-character reference number that starts with abc, followed by any single character (such as abc1, abcd, abc5).
a?? - Displays all transactions with a three-character reference number that starts with a, followed by two single characters (such as aX1, a22, a5T).
a?c - Displays all transactions with a three-character reference number that starts with a and ends with c, with a single character between (such as a8c, aBc).
Select the “Audit #” check box to filter the report by audit number. Enter the minimum and maximum audit numbers that you want to include or leave the default selection of all available.
Select the “Only include transactions entered in this session” check box to limit the transactions to those entered since opening the software. Select the “Sort by transaction date” check box to sort the transaction activity by transaction date.
Click Page View or click Table View. The report appears on the screen.
This report contains the transactions as you originally posted them, in debit and credit format. If you are viewing the report in a grid, if you scroll to the far right, you will be able to see when that entry was posted to your file. This column is available only in the grid – you will not see it on the printed report.
