Transactions > Transactions - Information > Setting default description on the transaction entry screen
You can enter a default description based on the account selected when entering transactions. When you hover over the description title on the transaction, a message notifies you that a default description can be set up in the chart of accounts.
Also newly added to our transaction page - the total sales or purchases made to or from a customer/supplier will now show right beside the contact selected.
In your chart of accounts, go to the appropriate category and select the account to set up a default description for.
As an example, we want to set up our default description for Custom work sales, and our account number is 4900. We type Custom harvesting forage – corn silage under the Default description box and save.
Go to Sales, Transactions and select Deposit under New transaction. Fill out the information on the top section of the transaction entry page.
Our default description will pop up as soon as the income account 4900 is selected. This will save time recording new custom work payments.
