Please review the following new payroll requirements to accurately create paycheques, report income, and complete tax forms.  

• Set the dental benefit status for each employee. A new requirement involves setting the dental benefit of each employee. A user will be prompted to complete this in AgExpert when printing a T4 slip, and this value will auto populate into the T4 slip in a new Box 45. Please note: All payroll users must complete this box regardless of whether they pay the employee dental benefits or not. The option selected will be saved in the employee’s details for future years. • Submit T4 or RL1 slips electronically for more than 5 employees. A new requirement requires anyone submitting T4 or RL1 slips for more than 5 employees to submit them electronically. More information on what you should know can be found here.
