CropPlan+
AgExpert is launching its improved Crop Planning Tool, CropPlan+, within the AgExpert Field Premium software. This tool turns farm data into readily available information, intended to help a producer make better, and more informed decisions and maximize their yield and revenue. A grower can play with unlimited scenarios, adjust yield/price, run multiple crop plans and compare projected versus actual performance in real time during the season. See what all is included in Crop Plan+ below:
Guided Crop Plan Setup
- Producers are guided step by step through crop plan creation, with historical farm data automatically benchmarked and applied to help ground plans in real, farm specific performance. Plans can now be created by visually placing your planned crops on a map or list view.
Benchmarking Against Historical Farm Performance
- In the guided setup, historical results are surfaced as you build your crop plan, providing a familiar and trusted baseline for planning rather than relying solely on generic assumptions.
Multiple Crop Plans & Plan Variations
- Farmers can create multiple crop plans to explore different strategies by:
- Duplicating an existing crop plan, or
- Creating a new plan through the same guided setup flow using historical benchmarks
- This makes it easy to compare alternative approaches for the upcoming season.
Basic Financial Scenario Analysis
Run what-if scenarios on crop plans to understand how yield and pricing changes may impact financial outcomes, using benchmarked historical data as the foundation. Together, these capabilities provide a structured, guided planning experience that helps producers build more confident and realistic plans heading into the growing season.
Plan Vs Actual Comparison
- Plans are now more directly connected to real operational and financial data, allowing users to track how their farm is performing against expectations as the season progresses.
- This enables users to identify variances sooner, adjust decisions in-season, and avoid end-of-year surprises that impact profitability.
- Unlocks post harvest analysis insights - Enables users to evaluate what actually happened versus what was planned, helping identify profitability drivers and apply those insights to build more accurate and informed plans for the next season.
