Tracing field boundaries
When you add a new field boundary, Field Manager PRO 2013 displays all the field boundaries that you’ve previously drawn.
Once you’ve traced your field, you can now remove pieces of the polygon to mark landmarks like rocks, waterways, etc. You can also set up multiple polygons per field. To cut out a portion of the polygon, hold down the Alt key and click the region you would like to remove.
To trace field boundaries:
- Select Fields from the Setup menu.
- Select the field you want to trace and click .
- Select the GIS Tab.
- Use the Draw Polygon tool to manually trace the field or import a (.shp) field boundary file from another GIS system by clicking Import .
- Double-click the field boundary to add more points.
- Hold down the Alt key and click the region to manually remove pieces of the polygon.
