Exporting Data to Caseware

Caseware is a software used by many accounting firms to work with and create financial statements.  If you are on a Premium subscription, you can export your AgExpert Accounting data so that your accountant can import this information into their Caseware software.

On the top right of your screen, click the profile icon and click Export to Caseware.

There are several options in your export screen that will affect what information is exported.  If you want to only export your account balances, you can get either the cash or accrual numbers.  Leave the Include transactions switch off, and click on Accrual or Cash, depending on what method you would like.

If you want to include your transactions so that your accountant can see detailed information, turn the Include transactions switch on.  You will not be able to export cash balances at this point, only accrual.

You can also choose to include your opening balances with your exported information.  This is useful if you have a new accountant, and this is the first time you are sending your information to them.  If you have been working with your accountant previously, leave this turned off.

Once you are finished with your options, click Save.

An extract will be created, which you can click to download.

You can send this downloaded file to your accountant via email or put it on a memory stick to take to their office.
