Adding up the numbers with AgExpert Analyst 2016-02

There’s a number of improvements to the release of the latest version of AgExpert Analyst 2016-02, and they add up to better things for you. We don’t have the space to include all the upgrades, but here’s a quick look at some highlights in our latest version:

AgExpert Analyst 2016-03

• Minor technical improvements were added

Auto-update

• You should have received a notification from within your software when this update became available. You need an Internet connection to use this feature.

General enhancements

• A new status bar has been added to the AgExpert Analyst screen. The status bar can be used to get help on a feature in the software, to access fiscal year and will display the version of the software that you are currently running.

Setup

• Import button added to the Contacts and Employee setup screen

Transaction

• The Reference number field has been updated in the Transaction entry, General journal, Inventory adjustment screens to facilitate the use of this field.

Payroll

• Account number setup was moved to Setup option of the Payroll menu.
• All payroll tables have been updated to reflect the payroll calculations from Jan 1, 2016 to June 30, 2016. Please refer to CRA for any changes to the payroll in your province.

Reports

• When exporting reports to PDF or Excel, any drill down links often remained active in the exported report.  This would generate errors if you were to click on those active links.

Management

• A Notes column was added to the Budget grid report.

Enhancements

• Now you’ll receive a reminder to do a backup of your datafile when you close out of AgExpert Analyst.

Update the way you do your accounting with the latest version of AgExpert Analyst. There’s so many improvements and upgrades we can’t cover them all, but here’s a brief glimpse of what you can expect:

Auto-update

• Get notified from within your software when an update is available. (You need an internet connection to use this feature.)

Online Activation

• Activate your software as soon as you’re ready. All you need is an Internet connection, a serial number and the email address we have on file. Once the information is entered, just press the button to activate the system. It’s the ultimate in convenience: no need to call in, no need to wait for a disc.
• Don’t want to use the online activation tool? Or your computer isn’t connected to the Internet? No problem, just call us during our normal business hours. We’ll get you activated.

Setup

• Added a checkbox to the bottom of the Contacts screen, allowing you to select how you want to organize contacts with a first and last name. 
• Import your contacts from popular email programs. 

Transaction

• Delete a previously selected Customer or Supplier from the Customer/Supplier field in the transaction entry screen.
• Add a Contact on the fly has been added to the transaction entry screen.
• Edit/Reverse Transaction screen has been updated to Show all by default view.
• See which transactions have notes attached to them with our new column added to the Edit/Reverse Transaction screen.
• Added cheque printing information to the Quick Edit Screen.

Payroll

• Employee accrued vacation will now appear on the left side of the paystub.
• When you issue a cheque to your CRA payroll supplier, or your Revenu Quebec supplier, the Memo of the transaction will automatically populate your payroll account number, if it has been entered. 

Taxes

• We’ve corrected the issue in the GST/HST return by allowing you to select which asset sales need to be reported on line.

Reports

• Changes have been made to the Earnings and Deductions report to facilitate the foreign workers information reporting.
• Employees has been added as an option to print Labels for under the Labels Report.

Auto-update
